Cape Cornwall

 2025 Lino prints

Rocks Cape Cornwall

180mm x 140mm

Sea rock formations seems to have grasped my interest of late and these two are part of a group just to the west of the prominentary at Cape Cornwall and are meant to be viewed alongside the image of the headland to give them a sense of place.

Cape Cornwall

305mm x 145mm

The headland of Cape Cornwall is dominated by a mining chimney which adds emphasis to an iconic setting contrasting it against the wide vista of open sea.

Sidmouth sea groyne

210mm x 150mm

2024 I had paintings in the National Acrylic Painters annual exhibition at Kennaway House, Sidmouth, during down time I took the opportunity to sketch elements of the locality with a view to produce a series of lino-prints, this was the first of a sequence.

Trees Central Park Plymouth

210mm x 150mm

A cluster of trees overlooking the background of Plymouth Sound create an iconic visual feature though their numbers have been depleted by the many storms that blow on a seemingly more frequent occurence of recent times.

Garden scene in flower.

Paintings Spring 2023

Britanny Ferry Millbay

Acrylic on Kevlar sailcloth 3'6" x 2'6"

Looking westwards from Plymouth Hoe I often see one of the Britanny Ferries reversing into Millbay Docks.  My painting was inspired by that of HMS Ark Royal by an admired friend of mine, Bob Tagg, who is sadly no longer with us.  The aircraft carrier was moored up just beyond Millbay waiting to be decommissioned when Bob painted it about 40 years ago.

Bridges Beacon Mount Edgcumbe

Acrylic on Kevlar sailcloth 3'6" x 2'6"

Bridges Beacon is located on the rocky shore of Mount Edgcumbe well below the high water mark facing the south-western aspect of Drake's (St. Nicholas's) Island in Plymouth Sound.  It is one of a number of Royal Navy navigation beacons positioned around the Sound.

"I am the daughter of wind and water"

Acrylic on cartridge paper framed 13" x 11"

"I bring fresh showers for the thirsting flowers"

Acrylic on cartridge paper framed 11" x 9"

Delamore House art festival May 2014

Delamore House annual art exhibition was held throughout the month of May and was a delightful venue to show some of my work. The garden area proffers a open  relaxed setting to view a range of sculpture and ceramic forms. The interior is a temporary home to a collection of paintings ,prints and smaller ceramics.
Take a stroll through this photographic record  to enjoy the ambiance and flavour of the occasion.

Pleased to say that one of my paintings sold at the exhibition.

This image is based on the Leviathan sculpture at Sutton harbour locally known as the barbican prawn. The 3 wise men float high above.

Christmas tree, palm more likely to be seen in the Holy Land than a fir tree.
